Jonathan serves on Surrey County Council as the member for Foxhills, Thorpe & Virginia Water and he is also a Runnymede Borough Councillor for Virginia Water Ward. He has recently been appointed as Surrey County Council Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Lifelong Learning.
He was also the Conservative parliamentary candidate for Twickenham.

"I have helped and supported the establishment of the Neighbourhood Forum to take forward plans for a Neighbourhood Plan. I have worked with local residents to say no to inappropriate development on Padd Farm; to oppose gravel extraction on Whitehall Farm and to fight back on a medical incinerator on Trumps Farm.
"I pledge to continue to work to protect Virginia Water’s green open spaces and special character and advocate a zero tolerance approach to anti-social and fly tipping. I have a track record for getting things done."
